Smithville Receives Award from PALS Therapy

 

Bloomington, IN (November 21, 2017) – Smithville Charitable Foundation was recently awarded 2017 Corporate Partner of the Year by PALS Therapy (People and Animals Learning Services, Inc.). Darby and JoAnna were treated to a tour of their barn used for therapeutic riding sessions, and were introduced to their mini-horse, Daisy Mae, and their new therapy pig! PALS provides services that benefit a wide variety of people, including individuals with disabilities, seniors, veterans, people struggling with addictions, and more. Over the past 9 years, Smithville Charitable Foundation has granted more than $50,000 to PALS. We are proud to partner with this wonderful organization providing much-needed services in the Monroe County community.

Smithville Charitable Foundation Announces 2017 Grant Awards

2017 Grants OverviewEllettsville, IN (November 1, 2017) – The Smithville Charitable Foundation is excited to announce 2017 grant awards. From pre-school education to transportation, SCF awarded $985,667 in grants to 47 organizations serving 15 counties in Central and Southern Indiana, including Brown, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Hendricks, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen, Posey, Sullivan, and Tipton counties. The Smithville Charitable Foundation Board of Governors is pleased to continue supporting talented organizations who are dedicated to improving quality of life in their communities.

Smithville Charitable Foundation is a private organization, celebrating a decade of grantmaking in 2018. As a private foundation, our grants benefit organizations in the counties served by Smithville Communications – Boone, Brown, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Hendricks, Howard, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen, Posey, Sullivan, and Tipton counties in Indiana. We support community foundations in these counties and a variety of causes related to religion, education, health, relief of poverty or distress, and various public organizations.
