Smithville Charitable Foundation Announces 2015 Grants

The Smithville Charitable Foundation (SCF) is pleased to announce it granted more than $976,000 to 39 nonprofit organizations in 16 counties in central and southern Indiana this fall. The SCF awards grants each fall through a competitive application and review process. This year Governors of the SCF Board reviewed 48 applications from a wide range of nonprofit organizations requesting over $1.9 million.

As a private foundation, SCF grants benefit organizations in the counties served by Smithville Communications – Boone, Brown, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Hendricks, Howard, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen, Posey, Sullivan, and Tipton counties in Indiana. The SCF supports community foundations in these counties and a variety of causes related to education, health, relief of poverty or distress, religion, and various public organizations.

Smithville Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a private organization, officially formed in October 2007.
